Coles Supermarkets is a full service supermarket operating over 750 stores throughout Australia. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Coles team as the Regional People and Capability Manager. In this role, you will motivate and mentor the operations leadership teams to achieve agreed strategic goals and drive leadership development to enhance high performance.
Based at Chullora and supporting one of two territories within Sydney and ACT; from the South West through to the South Coast and the ACT. Reporting to the Zone People and Capability Manager, you will manage, deliver and drive strategic initiatives across multiple regions and support up to 4000 people. Leading the assessment, identification and management of talent, you will support managers with team member growth and development. Critical to your success will be your ability to work with Regional, Store and Department Managers to deliver specific absence, turnover, rostering ????? ????? targets. Your exceptional communication skills and customer focus will see you build strong relationships with the operations teams, coaching and guiding managers to execute key change initiatives, build an engaging and supportive culture and to proactively manage the remuneration review cycle.
You will hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or Business and have extensive generalist HR experience. Ideally, you will have provided HR support to a major functional area in a retail or similar fast paced, multi-site environment. A background in retail with sound retail operational knowledge is preferred. Your excellent organisation, planning and time management skills will see you effectively manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring ????? ????? and financial functions are met. A creative approach to problem solving and an analytical mind will see you approach business issues in a logical and innovative light. Finally, your people focus sets you above your peers as an inspirational manager, who leads by example, fostering ????? ????? growth and development. Flexibility to travel at short notice across the regions is essential to this role.
You will need to be highly mobile within your region and flexible in line with store trading hours.
