An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced professional to join our Tourism team as Tourism Operations Supervisor.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This full time position is responsible for the day to day management of our Tour Guiding team including managing the day-to-day Sydney Opera House tourism operation, including the ability to maintain and identify strategies aimed at the effective delivery of tourism products and services.
Ensuring ????? ????? quality of customer service is provided to all customers, and contributing and overseeing the efficient administration of tourism services including rostering, timekeeping, payroll management, cost recovery, cost efficiencies and some general administration.
Another key component of this role is to view operational issues/decisions in a commercial context, always mindful of the financial outcomes for the business and working closely with all Key Relationships to ensure the delivery of guided tours and marketing/promotional activities. Building and maintaining solid internal working relationships is key to the position.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
1. An aptitude for the supervision, coordination and management of staff
2. Sound organisational skills for planning, organising, and coordinating work priorities for the guiding team
3. Strong skills for day-to-day and formal performance management
4. Highly energetic approach to work, with a high customer service ethic
5. Basic computer skills
6. Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised at times
7. Some weekend work required
8. Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
Job Status: Temporary (12 Month Contract)
Position No: SOH124
Salary Package:Base Salary of $67,928 pa
Salary Notes: This position is covered by the SOH Enterprise Agreement 2006
