  • Our client, renowned as an iconic global hotel group with unrivalled luxurious properties, is seeking an experienced Executive Director of Interior Design to join their growing presence. Based in Singapore in a newly established office in a regional capacity, you will oversee all aspects of the group’s design and construction expansion phase into the booming Asian markets.

    In this autonomous role, you will be reporting directly to the Global Vice President, whereby you will manage the interior design process for renovations and new construction. The ability to build rapport and manage the design process in a timely manner is paramount, as you will be liaising extensively with owners, developers, designers, supplier, as well as other related parties.

    This role is suited to a current Senior Interior Designer or Director who holds a minimum experience of 5-8 years in the design and construction of hotels/resorts. You will provide support across the region with state of the art architectural and interior designs, space planning, colour schemes and specifications. You will be responsible for managing the process of reviewing potential projects in line with company design and brand standards, providing initial concept design, documentation and conducting pre-opening inspections.

    The successful candidate will possess:
    • Degree qualifications in an Architecture, Interior Design or similar
    • A proven track record in a Hotel project management role within an architectural / design field
    • Strong knowledge of architectural and design issues (relating to hotels, such as traffic flows, colour and lighting schemes etc)
    • Flexible interpersonal style, effective communication and influencing skills
    • Fluency in English and preferably a second language (this could be mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese or similar).
