Event Sales Manager

 
This leading Event Catering Company specialise in providing complete event planning and management services to a wide variety of corporate, private and VIP clientele. We are currently looking for a well-presented, professional and career-focussed individual with proven sales ability and proven skills in Event Planning & Coordination.  
 
 

The Role:

 
  • Key areas for responsibility include handling event enquiries, writing detailed event proposals and quotations, planning and organisation of event logistics, on-site event management and supervision of catering staff teams
  • Sales - account management of existing clients, proactive client development, attend networking events / industry exhibitions and host menu-tastings in order to attract and secure new business
  • Provide clients with professional and informed consultancy regarding venue selection, event design, complete catering requirements, event logistics etc
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and venue contacts
 
 

Required skills & attributes:

 
  • Previously held the position of Event Coordinator, Event Manager or similar
  • Proven Sales experience within the Hospitality/Events sector essential
  • Ability to research new areas of business and have the confidence to promote the business’ services to new clients and generate leads for business
  • Proven experience in the operational management of event catering including supervision of catering staff teams
  • Proven knowledge of Sydney’s Event Industry, its venues and corporate clients
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to prepare and present new business ideas and event concepts
  • Excellent attention to detail - tenacious and proactive in all areas of work
  • Strong administration, IT and all-round organisational skills
  • Above all, you must display a shared passion for what we do – great food, innovative event design, outstanding service delivery!
 
 

Salary & benefits:

 
  • In region of $70,000 - $80,000 + super. (neg.)
  • Earn bonuses and commission!
  • Arrange parties at some of Sydney’s most prestigious event venues, private homes and entertainment facilities.
