Medication Safety Specialist

This opportunity awaits the right candidate; to join a growing and successful organization, our client is an international manufacturer of innovative healthcare products. They are a leader in the delivery of medication via high tech electronic pumps and associated equipment and are at the forefront of enhancing patient and clinical safety in this area.
This is a challenging and exciting role for the right person who is ready to use their passion for clinical excellence and direct it within a dynamic, results focused and reward driven environment.
The objective of this strategically important role is to be a leader for this technology in your area and act as the key interface between the customer, the sales team and carry out “hands on” and “over the phone” support as directed by the Program Manager who you would report to.
You will be responsible for: • Clinical implementation and project management • Sales team pre-sales and marketing support activities • Building and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders including internal sales team, Nurse Educators and key customers • Facilitating comprehensive clinical evaluations, trials and research • Planning, organizing, conducting and evaluating educational programs for identified stakeholders • Seeking and identifying opportunities to up-sell additional services • Competitor and market intelligence • Trade show attendance
To be successful in this role you must have: • At least 5 years Intensive Care or Anaesthetics or Pharmacist experience ideally within an extended role – management, education, research or risk combined with relevant sales or marketing exposure • Strong understanding on hospital medication process, safety issues and safety protocol • High degree business acumen and commercial awareness • Willing to travel to meet the demands of the business with Out of hours flexibility • Articulate and competent at presenting. • Able to communicate at all levels including overseas contacts • Competence with medical IT – database and query tools • Competence in the ability to understand and educate others on complex technical information • Experienced with Project management, time management and planning • Current drivers license and passport • Fluent in English both written and verbal The package includes a base salary of $70,000- $75,000 + 9% super with car mileage reimbursed. The role is available on contract for between 12-18 months.
