Applications are sought from postgraduates undertakingtraining in surgery, medical oncology or radiation oncologyfor this new position. The successful applicant will beinvolved with the management of breast cancer patients,especially patients considered for or enrolled in clinicaltrials, under the supervision of the relevant surgical,medical and/or radiation oncologists. The fellow willhave an active involvement in the current trials programto design and manage one or more clinical trials as aninvestigator of the Australian New Zealand Breast CancerTrials Group. The successful applicant will be encouragedto attend state and national workshops on clinical trialprocesses, and present at meetings. At the end of thefellowship it is anticipated that the fellow will be thoroughlyfamiliar with all aspects of breast cancer clinical trialsincluding design, management, analysis and reporting,with a view to establishing a career in oncology clinicalresearch in their chosen specialty.
