Hope Healthcare is a public hospital and community services organization providing services in Palliative Care, Rehabilitation, Specialist Mental Health Services for Older People, Community and Aged Care.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) who will support the organisation’s Christian Mission, Purpose and Values, and provide excellence in leadership in our busy 20 bed Palliative Care Unit at Braeside Hospital at Prairiewood. The Palliative Care service includes the inpatient unit, the day hospital, outpatient clinics and after-hours telephone advice. This service is for those diagnosed with a life threatening illness when relief from symptoms or pain management may be required.

Reporting to the Nurse Manager on site at Braeside Hospital, the NUM is responsible for all nursing, administration and clinical functions of the Palliative Care service at Braeside, including staff and roster management. This crucial role manages a team of nurses, so strong people leadership skills are essential.

The Palliative Care team strives to ensure that each patient is cared for with dignity in an encouraging, compassionate, stable and home-like environment.
