We are urgently looking for an Operational Risk Manager to work on a 3 months contract within the retail arm of one of the Banks.
 
Purpose: 
 
You will be reporting to the Senior Operational Risk Manager and work directly with key counterparts of the business and actively develop and maintain the risk and compliance framework for the business area. You will actively assist the business to identify, manage and mitigate operational risks and carry out necessary risk activities. You will be responsible to ensure that the business has a strong awareness of risk and culture.
 
Responsibilities: 
 
•Assist in maintaining an effective risk management and control frameworks through completion of targeted reviews and self-assessments
•Assist in the development of risk and compliance frameworks across the business, risk management culture, and to be recognised for providing expert operational risk advice
•Provide operational risk and compliance guidance on various business projects and ensure appropriate frameworks are in place to manage project and business risks
 
You will need: 
 
•Experience in internal/external audit and/or previous experience in operational risk
•Experience in retail financial and deposit products, and their regulatory frameworks Experience working in or with large operations teams with high transaction volumes and complex IT systems
•To be enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive
•The ability to multi-task priorities, manage deadlines and pick up new ideas and concepts quickly
