Our client is a global powerhouse with close to half a million employees worldwide looking to expand into the Asia Pacific region. Due to this growth, an opportunity has arisen for a senior Risk Manager.

As a senior member of the team, the purpose of the role is to assist the business with the identification, assessment and mitigation of business risk along with the implementation of a risk management framework and risk control techniques. In doing so, the successful applicant will promote a strong risk awareness culture in the business, instilling confidence in the business to operate and grow within appropriate governance requirements.  

To be successful in this role you must have at least 10 years of strong operational risk experience within the financial services industry, preferably within a small foreign bank environment, along with a working knowledge of financial services laws and regulations particularly APRA . Relevant tertiary expectations are expected. It is important to our client that you are a flexible, conciliatory individual with strong interpersonal competencies, especially in relation to written and oral communication. You must be able to influence and involve key stakeholders, have solid commercial acumen and strong strategic thinking skills.
