Sales Executives – Life Insurance
The Banking and Financial Services Group (BFS) is the primary relationship manager for Macquarie’s retail client base with operations in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America and Europe. BFS provides a diverse range of retail banking and wealth management products and services to intermediaries, businesses and the end consumer.
As part of BFS, Macquarie Direct maintains direct relationships with retail clients in Australia and New Zealand. In 2010 Macquarie Direct will be adding Life Insurance to it’s suite of products and is seeking capable, enthusiastic and sales driven candidates to join the Direct sales team to distribute life insurance products.
Direct Sales is a dynamic inbound/outbound phone based sales team that promotes all retail products that Macquarie has to offer. The working environment is suited to a hard working, competitive, ambitious person that will go the extra mile in order to achieve their goals.
The successful candidates will be instrumental in the launch of the campaign and will have responsibility for:
- Generating revenue from selling life insurance to existing clients
- Generation of leads to financial planners, mortgage and insurance brokers, credit cards and online trading
- Ensuring compliance and adherence to procedures
- Contributing to team and business projects
- Providing a high level of customer service
- Thorough understanding of Macquarie’s suite of products, in particular our new suite of insurance products starting with Life Insurance and then expanding to mortgage insurance and credit card insurance.
Ideally, you will:
- Hold a Diploma of Financial Services (RG146 compliant) or be currently studying for it
- Have demonstrated experience in life insurance sales and understand the sales cycle
- Possess a good understanding of competitor insurance products with a sound understanding of financial markets
- Be highly driven and motivated to achieve individual and team targets
- Be able to identify and capitalise upon cross selling opportunities
- Have strong motivation to investigate and initiate prospective customers
- Have excellent communication skills and an exemplary telephone manner
- Demonstrate good attention to detail and flexibility.
