The Credit team is building from the ground up
Leading the way in regulatory reform, the emerging Credit team is building from the ground up and is responsible for developing and implementing a National Regulatory scheme that will protect Australians for decades to come.
As key contributors to the transition of credit regulation from the States and Territories to the Commonwealth, members of the Credit team will take on vital roles within ASIC. Building strong relationships with a diverse range of credit providers, brokers and advisors, this energised new team will promote and ensure compliance nationally.
If you have a financial services background with exposure to risk and policy, regulatory, investigations or sales and customer service experience, then this could be your opportunity to:
- Develop and maintain key external relationships with stakeholders, to encourage improved industry practice through the discussion of industry and regulatory issues.
- Guide project teams conducting surveillance, investigations, audits, research and other compliance based activities to address marketplace problems, and, where applicable, refer matters to the relevant deterrence team.
- Identify and implement the appropriate regulatory response to address issues in the marketplace effectively and efficiently.
- Taking a leading role in Identifying strategic technical and policy issues and develop possible approaches or solutions as appropriate.
- Inform key decisions and assist the communication of outcomes to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the collection of intelligence information.
