Chief Executive Officer
Regional Development Australia - Orana is seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer at Dubbo, NSW.
Do you have the enthusiasm and skills to take up this newly created positon? The RDA-Orana Committee invites you to
join them as their leader of the administrative team to help them grow the Orana region and to help raise our public
profile.
Functions include:
Managing and leading a team to provide executive and secretariat services to the RDA - Orana Committee to
ensure that its activities and priorities are reflected in strategic and operational plans.
Oversee the development and maintenance of all financial management and other reporting requirements.
The Chief Executive Officer will have high level organisational skills; staff supervision skills; excellent written and verbal
communication skills; a high level of initiative and self-motivation; be able to work both independently and as
part of a team; have knowledge of broader business and socio-economic issues and trends in relation to regional
development. The ability to exercise discretion in the use of commercially confidential and government information and
sensitivity in balancing different perspectives on regional issues will also be beneficial.
They will also have previous management experience, relevant tertiary qualifications, equivalent experience and/or
professional association membership, have advanced computer skills and a driver's license is also required.
The position is full-time fixed term of 12 months, subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation period. There is the
possibility of extending the appointment for another 12-24 months of employment pending funding. Sucessful applicants
will be asked to provide proof of Australian citzenship or a valid work visa appropriate to the term of the position.
