– Histopathology

Applications are invited for the role of Head of Section, Histopathology. This role will assist the Pathology Department by managing all operational aspects of the Histopathology and Cytology Sections.

Duties include:

• Management of Histopathology Section

• Develop and implement a 'system approach' for the Section, to include process mapping, method assessment, change development and the implementation of new methods and technology as appropriate.

Essential Criteria:

• Hold an appropriate Tertiary qualification in Medical Laboratory science

• Demonstrated competence in Histopathology techniques

• Recent experience in Histopathology

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Demonstrated leadership qualities and be able to work with and within a team

• Well organised, good time management.
