This organisation is Australia's largest business in the wholesale distribution of healthcare products and services to healthcare and related organisations. With turnover exceeding $700 million and over 300 staff they have a strong presence in each state and an interest in driving for further profitable growth. The recent ascension of the previous CFO to the CEO role has created the need for a new Chief Financial Officer to join a recently restructured senior management team.

Reporting to the CEO and working with the Board, the focus of the role will be on assisting in the development of commercial strategy with a strong bent towards execution. A hands-on, pragmatic approach to financial management will be a critical component of your style. You will lead and be responsible for the entire finance function across two separate geographic locations - your experience may reflect experience in team management within similar environments. Working closely with State Managers and other senior team members you will drive a commercial and analytical focus across the organisation, using high-level persuasiveness and influencing skills to change behaviour.

As a qualified CA/CPA you will have strong commercial acumen, preferably developed within a high volume distribution environment. You will be assertive and self-confident in your approach however this will be tempered with the capacity and interest in developing team capability, both within and across functional areas. The business is focused on attaining even greater market share, by both organic and acquisitive growth. The CEO views this role as critical in not only achieving key strategic goals but also in driving cultural change across the entire business.
