Growth, development and investment have enabled Jemena to grow and develop their design and construct teams. To ensure the continued availability of design resources, we are currently looking for an experienced distribution line designer to join this growing business.

Jemena, not only an asset owner but also having projects to deliver across Tasmania, can provide variety and opportunity. You will be integral into the delivery of medium voltage (MV), 11KV – 36KV, distribution projects. You understand line design theory and have exposure to local rules and regulations. You will also have an understanding of the civil side of design, including pole location and ground conditions. You have a good understanding of both underground and overhead line design considerations.
This role will see you liaising with various teams of drafters, surveyors and construction teams. You are an excellent communicator and can prioritise and manage your time effectively.
Tertiary qualified in engineering, preferably electrical, power systems, control or electronic engineering, you have at least 3 years experience in the design and investigation of MV networks, including overhead and underground lines, EDS, infrastructure integration, easement and right of access surveys and upstream system impacts.
Experienced in a safety critical environment, you are not only business and customer focussed but your attention to detail is second to none. Organised and able to influence at all levels, you are autonomous, yet able to take on the responsibly this role requires.
