Aeronautical Engineer - Structural

  • An internationally recognised company with a prestigious reputation in the market place is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their In-Service Structures Engineering ????? ????? in Sydney.

    The positions will be responsible for providing structural repair support to our expanding customer base, assisting with all fleet structural issues in a client / supplier partnering ????? ?????.

    Qualifications/Experience:
    * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering ????? ????? minimum of 5 years experience in the design and/or stress analysis of aircraft structure.
    * Experience with stress analysis of damage tolerant aircraft structure.
    * Knowledge of Commercial Aircraft structure, repair processes and industry documentation
    * Proficient in CATIA V5 for drafting.

    This position will require you to be self-motivated and manage multiple time sensitive initiatives simultaneously with a focus on project management methodology. As you will be in direct contact with our valued clients, a definite requirement is a strong customer service focus.

    Your responsibilities include:
    * Complete design and stress analysis of structural repair schemes for damaged in-service aircraft in accordance with Regulatory Body (TC, FAA, EASA etc.) requirements.
    * Selection of structural configurations and materials (including metallic and composite) that in combination produce economic repair schemes, while taking into account the effects of static, fatigue, fail-safe requirements and damage tolerance.
    * Investigate operator requests, recurring ????? ????? and provide support to structural design & risk assessment teams.
    * Long-term issue investigation and rectification.
    * Support for Structures Steering ????? ????? and required investigations
    * Complete on-site damage surveys of immobilized aircraft (International Travel required).
    * Recommendations regarding airworthiness of damaged aircraft and requirements for temporary repairs.
    * Review, development, composition and approval of Structural Repair Manuals.
    * Weekend Shift coverage a requirement to ensure 24/7 support of operators around the world.
