Barker is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Teacher Librarian for a permanent position in our Secondary School Library from the commencement of 2010.
The successful applicant will have skills in co-operative planning and teaching of units of work in selected subject areas, incorporating appropriate ICT for Years 7 – 12. Well-developed computing skills will be expected of the successful applicant and knowledge and skills in Web 2.0 technologies are desirable. The applicant must be eligible for membership of A.L.I.A.
Teacher Librarians at Barker work one evening during ????? ????? week, on some Saturday afternoons and for at least part of one week during ????? ????? breaks. Time in lieu applies for work outside normal school hours. A willingness to be involved in routine library duties and in cataloguing, selection of resources, bibliographical services, current awareness programs and reference services will also be required.
