The Faculty currently seeks a proactive and enthusiastic Discipline Executive Officerto manage the administration for the Discipline of Business Law and provide high-level policy advice and administrative support to the Chair. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team and develop your skills and career in a position of significant responsibility.
Crucial to this role will be organisation and administrative expertise, as you will drive continual improvement to administrative procedures and policies, and ensure the smooth running of projects. Also essential will be your exceptional written and verbal communication skills as you will manage communications on behalf of the Chair, including the preparation of complex reports, minutes and agendas.
Confident and personable with the ability to exercise discretion, you will facilitate professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Furthermore, you will exercise your interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity in supervision of a small administrative group and in interaction with students, staff and the wider Faculty.
To succeed, you will possess a relevant tertiary qualification or a combination of relevant post-secondary study and substantial administrative experience. You will also need strong skills in the Microsoft Office suite and the capacity to review financial statements and assist in budget formulation. Experience in the organisation of events and exposure to a tertiary education environment will be highly regarded.
The position is full time fixed term for one year subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation period for new appointees. The current occupant of this position is on leave and has the right to return to this position on expiration of leave or sooner giving four weeks' notice. Membership of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of employment for new appointees.
Remuneration package: $79,753.23 - $86,884.68 p.a. (which includes a base salary Level 7 $67,392- $73,419 p.a., leave loading and up to 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation).
