SJS International Division caters to students from all backgrounds desiring a high standard of education. We follow the NSW Board of Studies syllabus; teach in English, with additional instruction in Japanese language by specialist teachers. We are seeking a teacher for the primary grades.
SJS achieves academic excellence in all key learning areas. It is situated in Terrey Hills and covers 14 hectares of land. Classrooms are large and modern, and utilise smartboard technology. Class sizes are limited to 20. School hours are 8:30am-3:25pm.
The successful applicant should be student-centred, dynamic and enthusiastic with a commitment to ensuring students have strong foundations in literacy and numeracy. It is desirable that applicants have strong skills in teaching Mathematics and are able to cater to the needs of high achievers. They should have good interpersonal skills and be able to use co-operative teaching methods. Some knowledge of Japanese culture and language would be preferred, and they must be competent in the use of IT.
