$65,233 to $69,617 p.a. + up to 12% super
Redland City Council is an innovative and progressive local authority east of Brisbane, including, Cleveland, Capalaba, North Stradbroke Island and southern Moreton Bay islands.
As the Tourism Development Coordinator, your innovative approach will drive tourism growth in the Redlands region and play a key role in positioning the City as a vibrant destination. Ideally, you will have considerable experience in tourism planning and project implementation with a fi rst hand knowledge of the way the tourism sector operates.
This role works with the Manager, Economic Development to prepare and implement destination management plans, the Redlands economic and tourism development marketing plan and annual tourism action plans. It will also entail providing policy development and advice, defi ning service specifi cations, and managing contracts.
The Tourism Development Coordinator manages the implementation of tourism development and marketing initiatives, facilitates tourism industry networking activities, liaises with local tourism operators and manages the Council’s ‘Redlands on Moreton Bay Visitor Centre’ contract. This role includes working closely with key tourism organisations (including Brisbane Marketing and Tourism Queensland) and participates in range of tourism events and activities.
The outcomes of the Coordinator’s work will be achieved by:
coordinating the development of key projects
managing relationships with key stakeholders
undertaking liaison, promotional and consultation initiatives
presenting reports to Council on tourism initiatives and issues
managing projects (including events); and
representing Council’s Corporate position and interests in an advisory role.
