Are you drafter that wants a new challenge? $70-85k+

 



This exclusive and unique developer requires a motivated and ambitious drafter to join their team as a Design Manager. Based in the Sydney office you will the first point of contact to all elements of design and be an important part of the look and feel of the company moving forward.
Your role originally will be to coordinate and oversee a team of outsourced designers and give recommendation and reports on various projects. As you become more at home with your role you will start to progress in the planning design and project management of developments, whilst still being the pivotal focus point of the design stages. Projects you’ll working on include: large scale luxury resorts, Cinemas, Retail, Attraction Parks, and Hotels

In this role it is you will be overseeing and responsible for the following:

  • Coordination of consultants, and outsourced designers
  • Documentation and reports – Progress, BCA, Council Approvals
  • Team management of CAD drafters
  • Briefing and drafting of conceptional ideas for future projects
For this role it is ideal if you possess some of the following traits
  • Strong AutoCad experience and ability to mentor staff
  • 4-5 years drafting experience, preferably with a medium size practice
  • Advanced understanding and hands on knowledge of approvals and council reports
  • Ability to present ideas confidently to senior management on future developments
