True cost planner needed

They are urgently seeking a Senior Cost Planner for their Sydney office to work in the pre conract department along with a team of Estimators and Cost Planners.

Reporting to the Cost Planning Manager and working on large projects throughout NSW you will required to apply your value engineering skills throughout the design development process to produce robust GMPs and trade budgets. They are looking for a true Cost Planner that can 'build' a project in their head and add value to the design process.

To be successfull in securing this role you will have:

• good measurement and pricing skills across all trades
• first class cost planning abilities across all building elements
• an understanding of all procurement methods
• tertiary qualifications in a building related field - QS degree is well respected - as is MRICS or AAIQS or equivalent
• good value engineering capabilities
• sound technical knowledge
• an ability to see the big picture when cost planning

They are preferably looking for a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator with experience with one of the large QS consultancies or Tier 1 Builders in Australia.

Based in the CBD within their very corporate offices you will be paid a salary package comensurate with your level of experience.
