My valued client is a large Civil Engineering Company that has been around for a quarter of a century and employs around 700 people. Due to growth new roles are now available in NEWCASTLE area.
The company’s services include Bulk Earthworks; Drainage; Precast & Insitu Concrete; Design & Construction; Major Road/Freeway Works; Licensed Asbestos Removal; Road Pavement Construction.
This position is for someone who is seeking a long term career and stability in a permanent role with this established and growing organisation.
Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will provide timely and accurate tendering, estimating and pre-project planning service to the group. Core work includes earthworks, road and bridge work and subdivisions.
Duties include:
- To provide accurate and timely estimates and co-ordinate survey and the take off of quantities
- Liaising with suppliers and maintaining database
- Preparing well documented, accurate and timely estimates
- Implementing strategies to improve the quality of estimates
- Delivering tenders and estimates by effectively managing time and resources
You must be degree qualified and have at least 5 years local experience as a Civil Estimator.
Applicants with Benchmark software experience preferred. You must be an Australian citizen to be considered.
