Light Vehicle Mechanic Trainer
MTA NSW is currently looking to employ an individual into the role Light Vehicle Mechanic Trainer. Applicants will need to have a Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Light Vehicle) and the associated unrestricted MVRIA licence with a minimum of five years current experience as a light vehicle mechanic.
It is desirable that applicants have a Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training and an understanding of nationally accredited training and assessing, however, full training in these areas will be provided to the successful applicant. The position requires an individual who pays attention to detail and has a strong administration ethic and a functional level of computer literacy.

- Ability to relate to apprentices
- Good administration skills
- Presentable
- A current drivers license
- Well organised with the ability to follow processes and work within systems
- Functional computer skills
- A good currency of knowledge in the area of light vehicle mechanics
- Business skills
- Good communication skills
- Able to self manage their schedule within the requirements of the position
- Ability to pass the police check to be able to work with person under 18 years of age
We are looking an individual who can break down knowledge and explain it to people who are learning the trade. It is envisaged that the successful applicant would have had experience in supervising and training apprentices in workshops and enjoy training and teaching people.
This position willdeliver training services to the metro Sydney and will involve a level of travel outside of metro Sydney. Position includes a fully maintained vehicle, mobile phone and laptop.
