  • Project Administrator: Want to add value to the PMO in this fantastic permanent opportunity? This friendly team which consists of 30 Project Managers and 200 other staff, is looking for a Project Administrator to add administrative and travel management tasks value to their team ( and Yes, there are other Project Administrators, so don't get scared that you'll be the only one supporting this impressive team!). This is a permanent position with a large and well-respected Australian icon, located in Sydney CBD. The main purpose of this Project Administrator role is to provide project and procurement administration to the Project Managers of this PMO.

    The salary package on offer for this role is $63k package.

    Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice and support to Project Managers on PMO tools related to travel management, procurements, and financial and related expense and budget related matters
  • Monitoring, prioritising, allocating and responding to work requests
  • Provide appropriate travel management and administration support services. E.g. requirements validation, booking and payment for travel schedules and reconciling against appropriate projects
  • Assisting with induction of new starters
  • Identifying process improvements and making recommendations for change to the IT PMO team and foster an environment of continuous improvement
  • Preparation and processing of procurement documentation (resources and purchase of services & hardware
  • Provision of appropriate financial and budgetary administrative support. E.g. processing project-related invoices
  • Experience with interpreting complex procurement and project requirements and provide authoritative analysis and guidance to Project Managers
  • Experience with coordinating work across multiple functions in a time constrained environment while using the most appropriate methods, processes and tools
  • Responsibility and management of the team's credit card for expenses
  • Ad hoc duties as required

    Essentials:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Project Administrator – preferably in an IT environment
  • Experience with handling purchase orders – you need to be able to marry up requirements and invoices, etc.
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills and experience in MS Office Suite – particularly with Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
