The culture is very progressive since the calibre of people throughout the business is generally quite strong, which in turn fosters a dynamic, learning based environment. They manufacture a broad range of consumer food products through mainly grocery and foodservice channels, and currently need an experienced financial accountant to join the finance team - could this be you ?
The Role
Reporting to the head of finance - your key responsibilities will revolve around tax compliance, statutory reporting, reconciliations, month and quarter end reporting, as well as managing the general ledger. Accountability will also extend to involvement with ad hoc projects as required.
The Person
Effective performance in this role will require a CA⁄CPA qualified accountant with a track record of experience in a large FMCG organisation. Strong spreadsheet skills (especially excel) are expected - as is exposure to a large finance system. Interpersonal skills must also be superior - wall flowers need not apply ! this is the type of environment where you will be regularly challenged and expected to 'hold your own' - so a confident demeanour matched with a calm approach under pressure will be a feature of the successful candidate.
