Senior Reporting Analyst

Currently we are looking for a Senior Reporting Analyst to join the Investments Group within the Financial Accounting Team. The Financial Accounting Team is a high performing and motivated team which provides centralised reporting and analysis for management and other stakeholders for all INGA entities.
This role will require good financial reporting and analysis experience with a strong understanding of statutory reporting and preferably exposure to regulatory reporting within the financial services sector. Also necessary will be excellent problem solving skills together with excellent communication skills and ability to manage relationships with management, peers.
Key responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
- Fulfilling financial and statutory reporting requirements including; APRA reporting, statutory accounts, group reporting packs, ABS and tax reporting for the insurance, advice and other funds management entities
- Participate in consolidation of all INGA entities
- Preparation of statutory/prudential reports for the Life and General Insurance companies
- Performing analysis of investments, shareholder capital, fee revenue and other relevant balances for various managed fund entities and the insurance entity
- Provide commentaries and analysis in relation to: capital, market and credit risks as well as product, fees, investment contract liabilities and FUM
- Perform calculation of solvency and capital monitoring ????? ????? and ASIC regulated entities within the INGA Group
- Reconciliation of various general ledger accounts and ensure maintenance of control framework
- Dealing with complex structures and issues
To be considered for this exciting opportunity the following experience is necessary:
- Big 4 background with 4 -5 years experience or significant experience in mid tier CA firm
- CA or CPA qualified
- Exposure to and knowledge of group consolidation and business combination
- Exposure to statutory reporting with regards to Insurance or Financial Services firms
- Excellent accounting knowledge with good problem solving skills
- Outstanding communication skills, both written & oral
- Customer focussed & the ability to multitask
- Confident, great people skills & relationship management skills
