Company Accountant

 

Leadership Role!

$65-75K + super

This medium sized business which belongs to a larger group are looking to recruit a Company Accountant to take ownership of the finance department and lead a small team of 5 transactional staff.

Reporting into the General Manager you will be charged with the smooth running of the accounting function and your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of statutory accounts and supporting documents for Auditors.
• End of month posting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Monthly GST & BAS returns preparation. Annual GST & BAS annual returns.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, break even calculations and budget.
• Control of cash flow, bank accounts, and forecasting.
• Control of Debtors and Collections
• Supervision of payroll processing
• Control of stocks and organising periodical stock takes
• Maintenance of Fixed Asset register and Insurances up to date
• Overseeing the Imports procedure. (Bill of Lading, Letter of Credits, etc)

To be successful in this role you will have broad accounting experience encompassing both financial and management accounting, have had previous managerial responsibility, and will ideally be CA/CPA qualified.
