Account Manager - Business Development and Communications Support
Overview:
The role of Account Manager is primarily a support role in the Business Development and Communications segments within the Australian operation of Aerosafe Risk Management. This global corporation is, among other strategies, committed to implement industry best practice in the field of safety management and risk management in the aviation industry.
To be successful in this role you will need to be customer focussed, have a strong background in business to business relationship management and development, strong influencing skills, together with a communications background with a Public Relations/Advertisng/Marketing bent. Previous sales experience would be advantageous. A hunger to achieve is essential.
The Role:
Business Development Support - This role is key in broadening our network and expanding our reach within our target market. The role is charged with following-up on key opportunities, preparing proposals and administering the opportunities, managing and maintaining current relationships.
Communications Support - Identifying the appropriate communications medium for specific opportunities, marketing programs and industry events to ensure the key target market is continually educated and informed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the CEO and Business Development Director to ensure that all opportunities are harnessed.
- Prepare proposals to key opportunities, manage and administer the opportunities to ensure each is captured.
- Provide proactive account management, business growth, secure new opportunities, marketing programs and profitability improvement.
- Work closely with marketing to define promotional programs, which with the targeted communications medium will achieve growth objectives.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate delivery of initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate:
- At least five years Account Management experience in business to business relationship management and a communications background with either a PR/Advertising/Marketing bent.
- Performance driven, able to utilise sound commercial acumen, and exceptional account management expertise.
- Business to business relationship management with small - large corporations.
- Strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to drive results.
- Experience in dealing with Government organisations and highly regulated industries would be an advantage.
- Proven track record of success in account management within a complex business environment where you have combined your sales, client relationship and communication skills to secure new opportunities, grow existing clients and ensure all communications are relevant, educational and informative.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- General business knowledge and an awareness of how external and internal factors will effect client and company business.
