A leading FMCG brand is looking for a senior Corporate Communications Manager to start at the beginning of November for a 12 month contract. You responsibilities will include the following: Protect & enhance our corporate reputation amongst regulators, advocacy groups, industry bodies, media, & most importantly consumers in terms of: - Corporate Affairs
- Regulatory Affairs
- Crisis Management
Develop and execute internal communications strategies to inform, influence and drive organisational engagement and improvement across Australia and New Zealand Success in this role will be determined largely by the strength of the external relationships: - Federal/State Departments & Regulatory Agencies (esp. FSANZ)
- Industry Bodies (esp. AFGC, AANA & Go Grains)
- Health & Nutrition Organisations (esp. DAA, AMA, NHF)
- Scientific Research Organisations (Universities, CSIRO etc)
- Advertising & PR Agencies
- Journalists and Media Personnel
- Other relevant general & advocacy groups
Corporate & Regulatory Affairs - Leads the development of corporate risk management strategies, for management of Corporate Reputation and Regulatory issues (including nutrition & health issues) that have the potential to negatively impact on the business.
- Develop commercial recommendations to protect and grow our business based on review of existing & proposed advertising, nutrition & food regulations, in order to understand the potential impact (positive & negative) on our business.
- Provides an assessment of commercial risk from a regulatory & corporate affairs perspective based on active review of marketing & sales activities (via Compass).
- Develops and strengthens influential relationships with regard to the development of Federal & State Regulations along with development of policy positions in areas critical to the company and to ensure a positive outcome.
- Influences key nutrition, health & advocacy groups (specifically D.A.A., N.H.F., Parents Jury).
- Influences industry bodies (specifically AFGC, AANA & Go Grains) to best represent the company’s position to ensure a positive outcome.
- Proactively manages Media Relations including ensuring ????? ????? position statements are current and reflective of global positions, ensuring ????? ????? procedures for media management are current and media calls are responded to in a timely manner.
- The incumbent will be the spokesperson and representative for Media, Government and Health Professionals for Corporate and Regulatory Issues including crisis incidents, nutrition, labelling, marketing and sustainability.
- Lead incident management team during ????? ????? & develop response plans that protect corporate reputation.
Candidate must have: - Corporate Affairs: extensive networks & experience in dealing with all key external influencing factors (regulatory, media, industry & interest groups).
- Leadership: Strong influencing & alignment skills at a Senior Management Level. Advising and mentoring ????? ????? achieve results through others. Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with key people and organisations. Excellent communication skills.
- Strategy: Sound judgement in interpreting the environment in terms of commercial risk. Strength in strategic thinking and business understanding.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience within the FMCG industry
