My client is a market leading software organisation with an impressive range of blue chip clients across the globe. With their ANZ HQ based in Sydney they are currently looking to hire a Senior Oracle Developer (ideally 8+yrs) with extremely strong PL/SQL skills (highly advanced, working on large scale, complex databases and applications) with exceptional experience with stored procedures, packages, triggers etc. I am looking for a candidate with extremely fluent PL/SQL skills who has experience in both database and application development (Forms, VB, VB.Net, C++, Java etc)

Strong Oracle PL/SQL experience is essential, as is having strong WebServices experience. These are mandatory skills.

My client builds complex software applications that integrates with their clients ERP software (eg SAP, Oracle Financials) so it is expected that candidates will have experience working on complex software development projects with a serious integration element to them.

In addition to having exceptional Oracle skills my client is looking for someone with good Business & Systems Analysis expertise as you will be develop a real deep knowledge and expertise in my clients software applications & be able to engage with clients, elicit requirements, be heavily involved in requirements analysis, solutions design & ideally be able to develop an understanding of business processes to look at business process re-engineering and the like. Candidates must be consultative in style, be able to influence and engage with high level client stakeholders and possess strong personal leadership skills.

Candidates needs to be able to demonstrate strong design skills, excellent client facing/relationship management skills, need to have worked with 3rd party interfaces and gained their Oracle experience on large scale, complex products.

In terms of industry experience then candidates from with New Media, Telco or Broadcasting would be useful but is not essential.

You will be working in a highly autonomous role, working as part of a global team so the ability to work effectively in a global organisation is key.

Candidates need to be tenacious, well organised, self-starting and able to perform effectively under pressure.
