J.P.Morgan is seeking an experienced Production Support Manager to lead our Production Support team for our Worldwide Securities Services division (WSS) based in Sydney. This challenging role is a key position within the technology management team, leading a team of Application Support Specialists and Service Request Developers across multiple sites in the APAC region for a dynamic and complex business.
The Production Support team is responsible for the support and maintenance of both vendor and in-house built applications for the Australia and New Zealand line of business and works closely with both technology and business support units to ensure the timely resolution of issues.

Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of application support specialists and service request application developers in Sydney and Mumbai, partnering closely with the WSS Australia business.
- Manage production technology incidents to resolution, ensuring timely engagement, escalation and effective communication to business, technology and vendor partners
- Proactively identify common root causes of issues and address to improve overall production stability
- Work with application vendors to schedule upgrades and enhancements
- Engage with WSS Technology project teams through the project life cycle to ensure successful delivery
- Work with WSS business and technology partners to plan and test the WSS Disaster Recovery plan
- Manage minor application enhancements (service requests) to meet the WSS business and client needs
Experience and Qualifications:
- Remote management, people management
- Proven experience in a similar role incident management, with prior team management experience in production support or application development in the financial services industry.
- Must have a thorough understanding of financial and banking applications, ideally in Custody, Fund Services or Fund Administration.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship, communication and presentation skills are paramount
- Comfortable and confident providing clear problem descriptions and guidance to senior business management in a time critical environment
- Experience in Disaster Recovery planning and test execution
- Exhibit leadership behaviour which supports the business and technology goals through creative thinking and strong problem management. Encourages others to persevere despite challenges, frustrations or difficulties faced.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology. Master's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or Information Technology is preferred
- Ability to handle multiple competing tasks in an ordered manner, prioritising to ensure business deliverables are met
