Ideally you will have come from a SOE development background, with an excellent understanding of desktop technologies such as Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.  You will have excellent working knowledge of various deployment methods and tool sets and be willing to improve current processes.

Accountabilities;

• This role will provide leadership and guidance in the development and design of our Customer SOE platforms.
• You will monitor and manage SOE projects, 3rd level SOE support and desktop related problem management cases.
• This role will develop new delivery methodologies as well as improving existing processes.

Objectives / Deliverables;

• Development, documentation and implementation of SOE's for our client environments.
• Design and develop new SOE designs.
• Research new desktop technologies and delivery methods for SOE designs.
• Application packaging and deployment.

Key Skills;

• 3-5 Desktop Hardware and Software support.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the design and implementations of SOE's.
• Application Packaging experience - Windows Installer technology.
• Experience with application packaging, conflict management and verification techniques.
• Exposure to ITIL methodologies.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Measures;

• High degree of accuracy in all tasks undertaken. Eg no re-work of tasks.
• All allocated project tasks to be completed within effort and time estimates.
• Submission of service/system improvements.
• Timely escalation of project/service risks and issues.
• High quality documentation.
