Senior Java Developer EJB3 JSF FUN MEDIA HOUSE

You will be a: Senior Java Developer who is passionate about coding and wants to work on something more exciting than your run-of-the-mill Java project. You will need strong JEE skills, positive attitude and a desire to innovate.

Our client is looking for a developer to join a small but highly skilled and versatile development team. You will need to be a self starter that loves coding and is willing to dive into the code base from day 1. However, you will need more that just coding ability as you will be required to participate in the high-level feature design, UI usability assessment and client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Enhancing and maintaining the internally-developed video workflow & content management system (CMS)
• Spec & develop new components and functionality
• Lead and mentor other developers
• Production support
• Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer

 
Required Skills

• Strong Java skills, with a minimum of 4 years professional experience
• Enterprise Java including JMS, EJB3 & JBoss
• Web development experience, ideally in JSF
• Ability to gather requirements from internal users and external clients, develop specifications in conjunction with the development managers and implement solutions
• Self starter who can run projects and lead, mentor and motivate junior developers
• Excellent command of written and spoken English

 
Desired Skills

• Media industry experience, particularly in video processing
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Swing experience
