The position of Director, Regional Tourism is responsible for: 
 ·Leadership and human resources management of the Regional Tourism Group within Tourism NSW comprising 17 staff across three business units with a budget of $9.5 million;
·Representation of Tourism NSW and the wider department to actively engage high level tourism industry stakeholders to ensure  strategic alignment  with the NSW Tourism strategy to increase visitation to regional areas of NSW;
·Overseeing the development and administration of  funding allocation and partnerships with Regional Tourism Organisations (RTO's) and Forum of Regional Tourism Organisations currently more than $5 million per annum;
·Consultation and negotiation to engage tourism industry partners in cooperative marketing  campaigns and leverage new avenues to increase the number of regional industry partners working collaboratively with Tourism NSW thereby growing investment and profile in co-operative promotional activities; and
Provision of strategic and market advice to tourism business operators and destinations throughout the State on the latest trends in domestic and international tourism to ensure that the visitor experience in regional NSW aligns with consumer needs.
