Sustainability Project Co-ordinator/Manager

If you are looking to develop your Sustainability career within the Property sector, this is the opportunity you have been waiting for.  This newly created role within the growing Sustainability division of a leading Property group will see you working closely with the Sustainability Manager and the Engineering Manager on a wide variety of building performance improvement and sustainability projects.  In this role, your responsibilities will include: - 
 
  • Coordinate, audit and review the collation and maintenance of resource consumption data through the internal database system.
  • Address documentation and internal process deficiencies integral to the rating Resource consumption data collection.
  • Develop a system for on site property management teams to maintain NABERS rating program.
  • Review NABERS assessments prior to submission to DECC.
  • Undertake energy improvement programs, energy mass balance assessments and water improvement programs.
  • Assist the Sustainability Manager in the preparation of data for external reporting.
  • Develop and manage resource efficiency projects working with the Sustainability Manager.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external consultants.

In this largely autonomous role, you will also have the opportunity to identify, develop and manage your own projects, provide advice in relation to the continuous improvement of existing practices and processes, and to develop innovative, outside the box solutions to ad hoc challenges.
 
The successful applicant will have: -  

  • Demonstrated ability in a Building services and/or Property Management related services capacity.
  • Industry qualification in Building Services, Operations or Sustainability - NABERS accreditation is preferred. 
  • Experience in managing/delivering projects. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, and a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop and follow reporting protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative, work without supervision and assume full responsibility for completion of tasks.
  • Positive attitude and team spirit with demonstrated ability to get on with a range of people with diverse personalities.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable approach in a changing and demanding environment. 

Experience with NGERS and EEO reporting is highly desirable, as is experience within the utilities sector.  A background in a related scientific area will also be advantageous.
