Aboriginal Economic Development Officer (Various Positions)

 

Work as part of the NSW Economic Development Officer Network to provide business support to Aboriginal people to build sustainable enterprises, and support employment opportunities for Aboriginal people within the private sector. One of the positions (based in Sydney CBD) will be working within the Tourism portfolio and the successful applicant is expected to have an understanding of the tourism industry.

Please Note:

1. Positions will be located in Sydney CBD, Mount Druitt, Newcastle, Tweed Heads, Wollongong, Tamworth, Dubbo, Wagga Wagga 2. Successful applicants will be working with either State & Regional Development and Tourism (Division of Industry and Investment NSW) or Aboriginal Affairs NSW (Division of Department of Human Services) ; 3. These positions have been jointly funded by the NSW Government and the Commonwealth Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR); 4. Employment is on a temporary basis for a period of up to 12 months, with a possible extension of an additional 12 month period subject to funding.
