Sydney, Full-time, Term Appointment, Job Reference HES/2009/35.  An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant for a contract period up to 5 years, with annual performance reviews.
 
The Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) and the Clinical Excellence Commission (CEC) will play a key role in promoting the delivery of safe, high quality, patient care in the NSW public health system as part of implementing Caring ????? ?????: Health Action Plan for NSW. The Clinical Excellence Commission is an already established statutory health corporation with responsibility for monitoring, developing and promoting systems and processes to improve clinical quality and patient safety across the NSW public health system. The Agency for Clinical Innovation will also be established as a statutory health corporation with responsibility for developing and promoting implementation of standard evidence-based clinical protocols and models of care guidelines to enhance the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of care across the NSW public health system.
 
The Executive Director is a newly established position which will manage an expert policy and technical support unit servicing both organisations. The successful applicant will be expected to forge strong working relationships with the management teams of both organisations and be a source of high level strategic advice, sound judgement and executive management expertise for their Chief Executives. The unit will provide a range of multi-disciplinary expertise covering ????? ?????, health economics, research and data analysis, system change management and contract design and management with the objective of optimising the contribution each organisation will make to improving the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of health care in the NSW public health system.
