The Opportunity Make your move with Westfield and be part of Australia's largest retail property group as a Retail Design Manager within National Shop Openings. The role of a Retail Design Manager is to create and maintain the agreed quality and image of the Westfield centres they are assigned. Working closely with the Asset Team (Centre Management/Leasing) the Retail Design Manger will achieve this through the design approval and delivery of new merchants and upgrade works to appropriate quality and within established timeframes. In the role of Retail Design Manager you will be responsible for: · Meeting with Retailers and their designers to discuss design and execution of Westfield guidelines and standards · Negotiating deliverables and timeframes with the merchants shopfitters and contractors · Monitor and track the delivery of design plans, design changes, council approvals and tracking of the fit-out to ensure achievement of final trade date and excellence in shop delivery. · Review the tenancy designs on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with Westfield design guidelines · Develop project plan for the delivery of all initiatives and working with all external parties to ensure delivery of these objectives · Discuss overseas and local trends with retailers and their designers to achieve excellence in design · Guide new retailers in dealing with external designers, suppliers and Westfield processes Professional Skills & Knowledge We would love to hear from experienced Retail Design Managers who have previous design management experience in a retail environment. You will need to be degree qualified in Design/Interior Design or Architecture and have strong negotiation skills along with a proven ability to identify and implement design solutions. You will be have strong planning and organisation skills along with project management experience.
