Consequently, it offers a complex and challenging Information and Communication Technology (ICT) environment. ICT support services are critical to achieving ongoing and continuous improvement in the University through provision of high-value, cost-effective information technology solutions.
The ICT division is currently seeking Telephonist to provide expert assistance and ensure that calls to the University switchboard are answered in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner. You will provide assistance to callers and staff when they make enquiries about the University, and perform any other duties appropriate in assisting the Senior Telephonist or Voice Infrastructure Manager.
To be successful for this role you will need extensive knowledge of PABX services, solid computer knowledge and experience in email, internet and MS products, the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, and a strong client focus and commitment to total quality management. You will also need a Telecom Exchange Operators Course or equivalent.
The position is continuing full time subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation period for new appointees. Membership of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of employment for new appointees.
Remuneration package: a competitive remuneration package of $51K - $56K is available (consisting of a base salary of $43K - $48K, leave loading and up to 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation).
