Clerical Officer - Accounts Receivable

 



 

$45,501 p.a. plus Super
Option to enter into a 19 day month working arrangement
 
The Rates section within the Finance unit is responsible for the levying and collection of rates and charges, invoicing and collection of sundry debts, maintaining ownership and address records on the corporate database, and developing, implementing and promoting strategies and policies. The section also works in an environment of continual improvement.
 
This position offers the opportunity for a person who is interested in a financial environment with high levels of interaction with stakeholders, both internally and externally, and the possibility for advancement within the organisation.
 
The Accounts Receivable Clerical Officer is responsible for the accurate invoicing of sundry debts, timely complaint resolution, high levels of skip tracing, and support in the recovery of both rates and sundry debts. The position holder is expected to take on additional projects that enable efficiency improvements within the section.
 
We are looking for a person with high levels of ethics, maturity, discretion, judgement and the capacity to act with little supervision in the execution of tasks within a team environment. You have proven accuracy and attention to detail, and work performed is to a high standard. You have clear and concise written and oral communication skills, proven keyboard experience including a solid working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word and Excel.
 
You have proven time management skills, ability to prioritise, deal with conflicting priorities and meet deadlines within a high volume environment. You have the ability to deliver high quality customer service and to promote a professional image to customers.
 
The successful applicant will also be the holder of the Higher School certificate or equivalent business experience, and preferably part way through completing business related studies.
