Our client is an established provider and manufacturer of systems seating and varied furniture solutions. As part of their long term business plan they are seeking to employ an additional business development consultant for their Sydney office. The company have been running successfully for a number of years in the East Coast of Australia and are seeking to expand their market share in NSW . The product range is varied but most definitely is a product utilised within high end interior projects in commercial, residential, aged care, healthcare, education, Government and hospitality sectors.
In this autonomous hands on business development / management role you will be responsible for managing and driving the business forward in NSW. Your focus will be to increase sales by targeting architects and interior designers and specifying the company products into major projects. In addition to the A&D market you will also target builders, developers, project managers and various end users and will be involved in industry events to increase the profile of the organisation. You will be supported in Sydney but ultimately the responsibility for success will be on your shoulders.
Ideally our client is looking for a dynamic, charismatic, energetic, high end furniture specialist with a successful track record in specifying furniture into architectural projects.
The must haves for the role will include;
- Exceptional sales and business development skills within high end furniture solutions.
- Previous hands on sales experience of 3 years plus.
- Track record of specifying interior building products through architects and designers.
- Strong network of contacts within the Sydney market place.
- Highly developed presentation skills.
- Career focussed outlook.
- Passion for the interiors industry.
- Outgoing sales style and confidence in your own abilities.
- High level of energy, tenacity, and solution selling skills.
- Some financial and general business acumen.
- Desire to move into a sales management role long term and commit your future to an organisation.
