General Merchandise Buyer
A diverse and challenging opportunity
A newly created position due to continued growth
CBD Location
Working in a team of two reporting directly to the Food and Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for all General merchandise buying and promotional marketing.
Responsibilities include:
• Introduction of new products and stock replenishment
• Promotions Coordination: Advertising and pricing of products
• Promotional marketing including sourcing products and organising screen print samples
• Liaise with suppliers daily in Australia, China and Singapore
• Problem solve; Retail issues in relation with daily product maintenance & promotion
• Visual merchandise planning
• Liaise with Inventory and the warehouse team for smooth flow of stock though the supply Chain; Coordinate stock issues and out dated products with Suppliers
• Manage a range of general merchandise and product lines stocked in over 50 stores.
• Accountable for sales, gross margin and supplier income budgets.
• Maintain the product database to ensure accurate costs & sells, deleted lines, pack changes and new lines
• Designed and produced advertising materials
• Work closely with suppliers on new product launches & promotions to increase advertising income
• Manage open to buy (OTB's)
