  • Reporting to the Chief Executive of a newly established NSW Government Statutory Authority, this role provides leadership in the development, assurance of implementation, ongoing review and continuous improvement of their governance and risk management framework. You will be working closely with the Board's Audit and Risk Committee providing strategic and operational advice and recommendations to the CEO and Board on matters affecting governance.

    The challenges of this role will include delivering ????? ????? framework within a new public sector, highly scrutinised, project-focused organisation that is focused on achieving Government and the communities required outcomes within strict time deadlines. You will be tasked with influencing and engaging employees from a variety of public and private sector backgrounds who may not be familiar with the required probity standards of both NSW and Commonwealth Government funding.

    Selection Criteria:

    • Significant leadership experience in the strategic management of the full range of governance requirements related to major infrastructure projects in a Government context
    • Proven capacity to operate effectively at both a strategic and detailed level and across a broad range of governance functions and activities including but not limited to risk, audit, policy, probity, transparency and organisational performance
    • Superior working knowledge of the key issues related to delivery of major infrastructure projects by NSW Government including the role and operation of Boards, Ministers, Executive Government, NSW Cabinet Committees, budget processes and major procurement processes
    • Evidence of a superior capacity to identify key issues likely to impact on the achievement of project and organisational objectives within a group heavily focused on achievement of goals
    • Well developed interpersonal, oral and written communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills appropriate to dealing with diverse stakeholders at the highest levels of public and private sector organisations
    • Capacity to operate effectively in complex multi-disciplinary and multi-organisational environments
    • Superior organisational and time management skills and capacity to delivery to deadlines
    • Superior analytical and interpretative skills demonstrated through interpreting and applying legislation and case law
