Our Client is an Australian operated company that specialise in the food processing industry. As one of the largest supplier to the supermarkets, their standards are second to none. With commitment to excellence the company has develop many overseas markets, as well as leading their local market. Now with continued growth and the necessity to expand, a Procurement Officer is required to support with business optimisation.
This role requires the purchasing and inventory experience preferably in a manufacturing environment and an excellent knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and advantage skills on Excel.
The role will require you manage cost effective inventory levels of all raw materials required to produce finished goods in accordance with the business strategy. Be essential to co-ordinate inventory control, data input and all administrative tasks for purchasing and production planning to ensure the plant run efficiently and effectively in accordance with demand. Initiate and maintain partner relationships with suppliers and vendors. Research and evaluate business pricing and contracts with suppliers as well as conducting random audits to ensure delivery of all stock. The role will also be responsible for authorising invoice for payments and processing credit memoranda by following through on all returned stock
You will have a strong command of communication both written and oral. Be able to displaying leadership and influencing skills, as well as having a passion for quality and continuous improvement. You will already be working in procurement, purchasing or inventory. Youll boast the capacity to work to deadlines, schedules and guidelines with attention to detail. You will preferably be tertiary qualifications or minimum APICS certification.
