This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to take the lead in a rare Melbourne based General Counsel role with this well known Australian brand. As a confident and commercially astute lawyer, you will manage the legal issues of the business by providing proactive legal advice on a range of commercial matters at both an internal and external level. 

  

With an established presence in Australia and significant turnover, this role will see you working in a fast paced and demanding commercial environment advising the business on property matters, litigation, insurance, compliance and risk, as well as employment and IP matters. You will also manage the use of external counsel and mentor a team of internal lawyers and administrators. Reporting to the Managing Directors, your involvement at an executive level will require a strong commercial approach and excellent communication and negotiating skills.
