Wealth Management Business

Leading Australian wealth management business requires an experienced lawyer with strong retail financial services skills to join their well-regarded in-house legal team.    Reporting to the Legal Manager, you will provide high-calibre advice to the business on:

-          Financial product disclosure and advice under Chapter 7 of the Corps Act, including in relation to life insurance, managed investments and superannuation products.

-          Advising superannuation trustees on member complaints to the Superannuation Complaints Tribunal.

-          Advising on breaches.

-          General commercial contracts and issues.

You will be a qualified lawyer of ideally 5+ years PQE, although strong candidates with slightly less experience overall but strong financial services experience, will also be considered.  Ideally, you will have a good grounding in life insurance and/or superannuation laws, with good product knowledge.   You should be a strong team player and be keen to develop your in-house career
