  • The purpose of this role, as part of Customer Solutions is to identify and provide technical solutions in support of the sales and account management teams. The role also collaborates with other line of business Solution Architects to identify innovative solution sets across the lines of business to address clients and prospects business needs.

    The position plays a key role in the sales engagement process and also provides a key link between the sales process and professional services delivery teams.

    Key Responsibilities and Tasks

    Provide pre-sales support to sales including:

  • Analyse prospective and current customer requirements and develop profitable and suitable solutions to meet customer needs, often including complex solution architectures
  • Liaise closely with NSW Professional Services Managers to ensure correct scoping and pricing of solutions utilizing services.
  • Responsible for helping the sales team to identify and close specific sales opportunities.
  • Provide technical marketing of solution offerings.
  • Preparation of presentations, including to c-level clients.
  • Play a key role in the bid/no bid process ensuring ????? ????? commercially viable, fit with strategy and provide expertise around risk and risk mitigation requirements.
  • Work closely with our vendors and customers as well as the professional services and sales teams to design and package solution offerings to take to the market.
  • Provide specialist guidance and advice within the relevant specialist area of Network Security technologies. The successful applicant will have: This is a senior role, requiring ????? ????? of 10 years technical experience, with at least 5 years pre-sales/solution architect experience (at executive level). Expertise in the respective Line of Business is essential. Experience in delivering ????? ????? meet the customers requirements and or experience in selling, using an ROI Model is required.

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong customer relationship. Able to quickly develop relationships and credibility with senior management and maintain those relationships for the duration of the project lifecycle.
  • Strong and effective team membership skills, with the ability to work effectively within a matrix, with multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Strong commitment, enthusiasm and drive with the ability to work through conflicting pressures and priorities.
  • Demonstrates strong commercial acumen.
  • Demonstrates strong experience in consultative and creative solution selling at c-level.

    Essential Technical Skills:Knowledge, skills and experience in the relevant line of business; specifically knowledge of vendors (in order of importance): Cisco, CheckPoint, Juniper, Nokia, Trend Micro, SurfControl, RSA, BlueCoat and F5; & knowledge of technologies: firewall, Secure internet gateways. intrusion detection, secure remote access, email and web security, application level security, and identity management.

  • Ideally CISSP certified.
