Data Warehouse ETL Developer

  • 8 month - CBD based
  • $660 per day
  • ODI or Teradata SQL experience required

Exceptional opportunity to work for an Australian Iconic brand as an ETL Developer. The successful applicant will have an expertise in Teradata SQL, used for building Data Warehouses.

This position is responsible for performing detailed design, development & testing of the extract-transform-load (ETL) subsystem of a new Data Warehouse.

Key responsibilities include: -
  • Develop documentation which defines the mapping of source data to the DW target data model at a field level.  Include validation checks and error handling.
  • Develop detailed design of ETL modules, following standards, to achieve business requirements (including performance, reliability, manageability, traceability, and data quality).
  • Use the selected tools (Oracle Data Integrator) to develop ETL programs.
  • Unit test all developed ETL programs; work with Test Manager to ensure correct procedures and test coverage; fix bugs and re-test.
  • Participate in SIT and UAT to ensure that problem investigation and resolution is completed quickly.

Key skills required: -
  • Proven track record in ETL development on large-scale data warehouse solutions
  • Experience working in data warehouse projects
  • Experience of ETL development
  • Knowledge of at least one ETL tool (e.g. DataStage, Informatica, ETL, SAS Data Integrator, Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle Warehouse Builder)
  • Experience of Teradata SQL and utilities (Fastload, Multiload, BTEQ)
