We have a current requirement within the organisation for a C++ Software Engineer, with a strong background in server side and networking programming to join this Sydney based company on a permanent basis.
This C++ Software Engineering ????? ????? available for a client that specialises in algorithm design and mathematical modelling solutions for high speed real-time trading systems. If successful, you will be given the opportunity to support quantitative trading systems and take part in optimal algorithm design as well as mathematical modelling. Development will be done on real-time Linux platforms (proprietary version) and some understanding of the Linux kernel is highly desirable (not essential). C++ Software engineers with a strong grasp of large scale distrubuted/clustered systems and client/server architectures are strongly encouraged to apply.
We expect successful candidates to have experience in most of the following general areas:
- Large software systems: design, development, testing, and maintenance.
- Programming languages: extensive experience (e.g. with C/C++, Java).
- Python programming skills
- Prior experience with programming on real-time Linux platforms
- Scripting languages: such as shell scripts, perl, python, etc.
- Prior experience with algorithm design
